It has been a while since the Wuhan Corona virus has captured its roots all around the globe. Exactly 100 years after infamous Spanish flu devastation, this threatening virus has come up and is quickly damaging lives in a million ways, everyday. With its easy way of transmission, though air or physical contact, it is spreading quite rapidly, lowering the quality of human resource and lifestyle. Not only this, this deadly virus has become successful in shutting down gyms, restaurants, worship places and what not. From roads to local metros, from offices to air travel, the dread of COVID-19 has resulted in lack of human presence. While this is a good step taken from safety point of view, the stats are unfortunately disappointing when seen from the perspective of economists. Shitting down of all public places and transports has led to decrease in the income of shopkeepers, multi national companies and also government. Overall, the virus has affected so many lives by just one touch which started in one part of the world, and that too weeks ago.
While many of the industries have been affected badly, there are some industries which have recovered a humongous chain of profit. One such industry is the Robotics . After sanitizers and masks, these robots are the saviours in high demand. Many developed countries have switched to remote controlled services during treatment and check-up rather than manual job. These robots are being a huge help to the doctors as well as the government to keep a check upon its patients. To begin with, can throw some light on what role did robots play in stabilizing the conditions in China. With its brainy human assets, China has developed robots that travel around local streets throughout the country and keep a check on the temperature conditions, also reporting to the concerned authorities in case of any suspicious activity. Apart from this, some robots are helping the doctors in monitoring the status of patients, collection and handling medical samples, and also providing the patients with required medicines, thus completely avoiding contact between any two human beings. Some robots have also been made for the purpose of surveillance and quizzing the local citizens if they have the symptoms of COVID-19 or not. In the Bryant Park of New York City, one such robot was seen asking questions to the audience about their daily lifestyle and inner body changes. Other instances show that UVD robots are being hired in Chinese hospitals which prove to disinfect the harmful bacteria by breaking their DNA structure.
Thus, it is very clear that when all other industries are facing a tough time to make two ends meet, robotics industries are experiencing a major leap in their growth. One should realise that in this time of quarantine and crisis, robots can prove to be the superheroes for our survival and safety. In this new decade of the 21st century, technology is one big solution to crack the problems of regression, rapid growth of diseases and degradation of industries as a whole.
